Week 41

Well if I didn't mention it in my last post let me should it from the hilltops now SHE STANDS! My baby can stand like a pro! She stands on everything and anything, not just her crib. Standing has actually inspired her to learn to crawl. She is fast little bugger now. She love loves to stand! It's done wonders for her sleeping! She actually only waked up one time at night now and a few nights she even slept all the way til 6am. I'm sure it's because she is tiring out her little legs all day by standing at the coffee tables and couches and legs and beds, etc.

Her crawling is hilarious. I NEED to film it. She gets in the crawling position then takes a knee step then the next step is with her FOOT! So it's basically knee, foot, slide, knee foot slide. She looks like a little monkey or the hunchback of Notre Dame (if Egor crawled). Raph calls her Mobley because she reminds him of the Jungle Book boy when he is learning to walk like a bear, lol.

Tuesday was Yaya's birthday and we went to SF to the De Young museum and the Science museum. Aria had a great time and was very good. She loves to look around and new people places and things. She wasn't allowed in the Planetarium because you needed to be 4 to go in so Pops stayed out with her. We ate dinner at the Los Altos Grill and they provided a cute little clip on high chair for her. I tried to feed her her sweet potatoes but she wasn't very interested and kept rubbing them all over her sleeves and spitting them out.

Yesterday we went to the 9 month check up appointment. Dr Jane Auh is very nice. She said that Aria was very social. This may be in part to the fact that she gave her a huge baby smile when she walked in the door, though I think the doctor is used to making kids comfortable. She is 20 pounds and 9 ounces and 29 inches long. 85% for height and 75% for weight. She is doing awesome and has the go ahead to eat meats and yogurts. The doctor said her head is still a bit flat but that it wasn't too bad and we probably won't even notice when she gets hair. She said if I want to I can take her to get her head measured and they will say what flatness category she is in -mild, moderate, severe, but that it was completely up to me. I'm thinking about it, but I think it's not too bad and she said it will only get better not worse at this point so we'll see.

Kevin and I went to a Sharks game on Saturday. Aria stayed with Yaya. It was the longest she has been away from both of us, 7 hours total. She did absolutely great though. It's so nice that she eats solids now so even though she refuses a bottle, I know she will not go hungry.

I can't believe next week is Easter. I wanted to get some cute Easter photos taken, like spring style, but not sure if I'll have time. Hopefully I will make it happen.
