Pottytime Tales
Aria was walking around naked in my high heels from yesterday. I thought it was hilarious, so I was taking pictures of her. It was all cute and funny until she peed a puddle in my fancy heels. #pottytraining #fail
July 2014
Hello again! Yesterday was Lindsey's wedding and Steven and Kira babysat the kids for the first time. Patrick was sleeping when we left. Kira said when he woke up he seemed confused and cried for 30 minutes. Jamie and Aria didn't have a problem with being watched. They both fell asleep on the front living room floor laying next to Steven at 7pm. Kevin left the wedding reception after dinner so he made it home by bedtime, 8 o'clock. I stayed behind and hung out with Jenna and Gabby and my parents until the reception was officially over at 11-ish. All in all I would call it a success. Now I just need to scrounge some money up to get Lindsey and Shiva a wedding gift.
Ariana likes flamingos. She calls them "Fladigos". It's so cute. She also loves bananas, but only if you peel them just right; like a monkey would eat them. They are "Paninas" to her haha! I am starting to understand more of the words she tries to say.
Jamie is a climber. He can climb into the highchair, over the back of the couch, onto the kitchen table, basically on to anything he can get his hands on. I feel the only way to baby proof is to remove all furniture or small toys he can stand on top.
Patrick took a few steps. I was super excited but he still prefers to walk on his knees like a double amputee. I guess he's mobile enough without walking that he does not feel the desire to push himself.
Arianna has done wonderful with potty training. She pees in the potty every morning and we even sing a potty song: "PP in the poottty! Peepee in the potty, poopoo in the potty, peeped in the potty, potty time, potty time oh oh oh!" She's adorable. When ever she has to go she comes up to me with that cute face and says "pahhhh tiiime?". We are great with PP but still working on poop. Not going to force it because she did poop in the potty on her own about four times. But she mostly who's in her sleep during the night while she's unconscious. I think she truly believes she doesn't have to poop.
Patrick is an extremely strong-willed child. He cries for hours on and during the night. I am still trying to break his baby will. I am tired of getting up five times the night. Jamie gives up sooner. Last night they were both awake and I left Patch on the bed to get Jamie who was wailing. While I was in the bathroom, where Jamie's crib currently resides, I heard a huge thud, like 1000 pound sack of potatoes falling on the ground. It was Patrick, he had magically crawled off the end of the bed in the 30 seconds it took me to get up. He was fine, now both babies have officially fallen off of my bed.
Aria can name many different colors if you show her blue or red or green she knows what they are.
Patrick and Jamie can give high-fives. Patrick can make kissing noises if you ask him for a kiss it's really cute.
Aria tries to mediate the boys disputes. For example this morning I made Jamie a milk bottle I gave it to him and of course, like always, when Patrick saw it she stomped over to Jamie and manhandled it out of his hands. Aria saw this and she immediately went and took it from Patrick and handed it back to Jamie. Of course Patrick is bigger and stronger and more forceful overall. So this went on about 20 times, Aria taking the bottle and handing it back to Jamie. I finally just made another bottle for Patrick.
She's funny who she decides to hang out with probably seven out of 10 times it's Jamie, she's on team Jamie, but sometimes she has a great time playing with Patrick who likes the more thoughtful toys. Jamie's main goal, every day all day, is figuring out how to escape.
Well I will try to update more but until then, xo Rosie

Happy 3rd Birthday Aria Rose!
Happy 3rd Birthday to my sweet Aria . You are kind and loving while still wild and free; the fun combination of a beautiful soul and a creative mind. You are the best big sister to your brothers; the way they look at you, with pure love, amazes me. Your three year old smile, charm and abounding joy for life's little moments, have taught my heart the true meaning of happiness. Mommy and Daddy love you to the moon and back xoxo
Yesterday we had a swim party. Godfather got Aria a kiddie pool with a water slide for a gift. Uncle Bee spent 3 hours setting it up. It was scorching hot so the best thing ever for a girl who loves water and wild abandonment of safety.
OT: Aria had a breakthrough with potty training right after my last post! She has been peeing in the potty with hardly an accident. Just working on the pooping now.
Aria's Frozen cake!

Potty Training Aria
We are now on day 6 of potty training. It was been a particular kind of torture for mother and child alike. Aria is the most stubborn child even to grace this world. I have done everything to make it a pleasant, rewarding experience for her. I have wrapped presents on the toilet. I have bowls of m&ms and jellybeans nearby. Yet she refuses. She even went so far as to sit on the potty, holding an m&m in each hand and finally I told her that if she was just playing around and not going to go pee pee that she needed to put them back. She gladly dumped the seemingly tasty treats back in the bowl to be free of the dreaded potty. She used her magical almost 3 year old powers to only pee one time, ONE time all day. She went to bed dry and woke up dry, 16 hours of holding her pee in. After my mother freaked out believing she must have an obstruction, I caved and gave her a diaper and told her to pee pee wherever she pleased. She peed in her room. She also managed to not poop for 5 days. Now, Aria is usually quite regular, so this was quite an oddity, again causing concern on the adult parties of this endeavor. When she finally did poop yesterday I attempted to use it, as the book says, as a training experience. We went to the potty, under where full of crap and sat on the potty. I then attempted to flick the poop into the toilet water, which was way more difficult than the book made it sound. I finally just had to dig my finger on the backside of a poop lump and scoop. All this poo scooping being done while a toddler leaned on me for balance in the big toilet. Of course my success at dislodging the turn was quickly squelched by the turd causing a backsplash as it plopped into the pool. A splash of delightful chemically blue toilet water that went directly into my eye. I let Aria down and pulled her soiled undies off just in time to notice I'd missed a chunk and it unceremoniously tumbled onto my bare foot. Poo water in my eye, poop on my foot.
Yesterday at about 9pm I knew Aria had to pee. I was determined after 5 days of living and breathing pee and day dreaming and real dreaming about the moment it went in the potty that this would be my shining moment. Finally at her breaking point, she literally couldn't stop holding her crotch without a little pee escaping. It was time. I took her to the potty, the big potty upstairs, as from what little I could tell, it was preferable to her over her own personal sized potty. I told her we were going to go and that it was going to feel so much better. Just real quick, let's do it. She resisted. She began to cry as I sat her on the potty. I held her there. Her cries got deeper and loader. As she bit her fist in a shriek of terror. The pee came out. Her other hand reached to block the stream. Then she was done. She refused her potty gift. Somehow it didn't feel like a win.

Easter, Egg coloring, Chickens, Aria Making Friends, Boys 1st Birthday Preparations
Hello there lovely,
My has the year flown by. We are closing in at one year already. Can not believe it. My sweet boys are so grown up. They are a little pack of all trouble. They crawl around the house getting into EVERYTHING! Jamie still speed crawls even though I'm fairly certain her has the ability to walk. He also site on his knees and hops across the room. Patch is my strong boy, he is getting faster at crawling and he also has started the knee hopping. Jamie can stand for long periods of time not holding onto anything and he can stand from the ground with out any help. I'm counting the days before he is fully mobile.
Aria learned how to blow bubble yesterday. It was so cute. She has tried for a while but never quite got the blowing motion, rather more of a lips together spit/blow. But Carlo came over and we played with bubbles and viola. Guess she just needed a little incentive to show of to her favorite boy.
Aria is talking a bit more now. Still not on level with where she should be, but she is saying a lot of new words. She said bubble and goldfish yesterday.
Aria loves the movie Frozen. It's really the first movie that she has actually shown a preference toward. Funny how it struck a cord with so many little kids. She is going to have a Frozen themed 3rd birthday party. She loves to wear capes and gloves now because Elsa does in the movies. She also loves braids in her hair, (like Auntie Dobby has), which Anna sports in the film. It's pretty adorable hearing her muttering away the song "Let it Go" all day long!
Let's see… I'm still not sure what color Patrick's eyes are, they are blue with brown in the middle, but a darker blue than mine, almost slate. We will see. Jameson definitely has brown.
I just sat down for a minute to update all y'all and the beasts a reeking havoc. Patch in the trash with dirty diapers and coffee grounds all over the kitchen and Jamie taking the fine china out of the cupboard. Alas, life. Kevin is getting a breakfast burrito with Aria. I wish I could up and just take one kid somewhere sometimes.
Steven and Kira are getting married on Saturday!! Aria is going to be a flower girl and Kevin and I are part of the bridal party. It will be a juggling act with all the kids but my parents and Billy, Gabby and Raph will be there to help!
Lauren and Mike asked me to be their baby girl, Hannah's, Godmother! I'm so excited! This is my first Godchild! Her Baptism will be July 27th in Irvine, CA. I'm hoping we can make a Disneyland trip out of it as well!
Aria enjoyed coloring eggs this year and hunting for them. She made friend with one of Craig's little nieces at the Easter party. They seriously played the entire time and Aria cried when her friend Iris had to leave. Iris was exactly Aria's age, her birthday is June 17th.
Until next time (hopefully be updating soon with 1st birthday festivities),
xo Rosie

10 months
Patrick got a tooth finally!! It's his top right tooth. Funny that Jamie and Aria got bottom teeth first. This explains why he's been being so beastly all night long. He actually is cutting through a bottom tooth now too. Patrick is crawling now like a normal baby. He progressed very quickly from when we arrived here at Solomon he couldn't even sit. Now, just a month later he is sitting, kneeling, and crawling on hands and knees. He went though a small phase where he just pulled himself around with his arms and it was hilarious. He is still my rough boy. He loves to slap his hands on my face and grab things away from his brother. He is very loud. He loves to be held and I find myself avoiding eye contact as I pass him because he will insist on being picked up. Patch still has bluish eyes with a brown splash in the middle, we will see.
Jamie is standing with no hands. He is very independant. He is starting to sleep for longer stretches at night, which is wonderful. He loves to make spitting noises with his mouth all the time. He is exploring many different kinds of food, including yogurt, bananas, and cheese. He still loves to much on Ritz crackers the best. He is so cute, whenever anyone picks him up he stares analyzing them in the face for a good minute or 2. He is less shy that his brother Patch. Grandma and Grandpa Corcoran are in town from VA and he let Grandpa (weak from a stroke) hold him without struggling for about 30 minutes. It was so cute. He was enjoying chewing on his cane handle, so that may have played a role in his contentment.

Patrick Christopher
We had our first outing to the park swings just a few days ago. They were a little tentative in the beginning but ended up loving them. They crawled around on the grass and had a blast.
Patrick and Jameson my Irish boys on St. Patrick's Day!
Can't believe my baby boys will be 1 in just a month and a half. It's unthinkable, how freaking fast this year has flown by. Amazing, crazy, hardest most beautiful year of my life.
Until next time, xo Rosie

9 months and counting...
Hello there lovlies. Patch and Jamie are 9 month old, almost 10. They are BOTH mobile! Jamie boy can crawl like a pro. He goes from sitting to standing with ease. He cruises on furniture, barely holding with one hand. Until last week, my boy Patch was still immobile. But low and behold, he started sitting, kneeling and army crawling all in a matter of a few days. He is so very excited that he can finally play with the activity table that has been eluding him for months!
It's funny that even though Jamie is faster and more able, Patch is the boss. He literally drags his body across the floor like a baby paraplegic but when he gets to Jamie, he manhandles any toy Jamie has away from him. Poor Jamie it left crying many times a day because Patch decided he needed that shiny thing Jamie discovered. I'm not quite sure why Jamie doesn't just crawl away, as he definitely would win in a race. Maybe he's just doomed to be the submissive baby boy B for life, lol.
Jamie now had 4 teeth, 2 top and 2 bottom. I think he is teething more. Patrick has 0 haha.
I attempted cry it out the last 2 nights and I think it's backfiring. Patrick now wails louder than ever during the night. I even tried leaving them both to cry and sleeping, myself on the couch. Yet an hour later, the shrieking was still going strong. Life is exhausting, I'm at my wicks end with their sleeping habits.
Today is Ash Wednesday. I am going to try and not eat sweets for Lent. Day 1 so far so good.
I'm excited to take a St. Paddy's Day photo of the kids. I'm hoping to get some over suspenders and little shorts to go with their Irish shirts and clover baby leggings…. I haven't done a photoshoot since Halloween really, aside from 1 photo each for the Christmas card. I can't believe they will be double digits (in months) in 4 days! Ahhhh!!
I need to do a measurement and weigh in… soon.
We just moved into a new, bigger, house. Hopefully things will settle down now that we know we'll be here for a while.
We had our first play date yesterday with Emily, Carlo and Lucia (and new little baby Reginelli (circa Oct '14). It was so great seeing Aria running around and having fun with Carlo. Having a bigger space to play made it so much nicer! When they arrived, Carlo handed Aria a dandelion that he had picked from his yard. It was adorable, quite the charmer!
Until next time, xo Rosie

7 almost 8 months
Well it's just after New Year's and the boys are seven months old soon to be eight months. Jamie started sitting in the beginning of December with his hands down in front of him. On Christmas Day he first sat with no hands touching the ground he was a very very proud of himself with a huge smile on his face. Since then he has not looked that he only sits with no hands. Jamie also a few days later started pulling himself up to stand. The first time he did it he pulled up on my knees as I sat on the ground next to him. He now pulls up on anything he can reach. Jamie also can completely crawl and I when I put him in the middle of the room the next time I turn around he's underneath the kitchen table or behind the brown chair.
Aria got a Samantha doll, a bouncing Tigger, a mini piano, a Tinkerbell doll, a Tinkerbell book, a safari book, two beautiful new coats, a dress, a sweater, little Tinkerbell fairy dolls. And of coarse she got Wrassle Junior. He's the same dog that I got on my Christmas when I was two years old he's just Way more fluffy than my Wrassle is now. I hope she grows to love him right now she still likes my Wrassle better.
Patrick is starting to get himself onto all fours every once in a while. He's weighing in at 20 pounds and I think it's a little more difficult for him to maneuver his body. He is more intellectual. Where Jamie's sole goal seems to be where can I get to and what can I climb on. Patch enjoys making eye contact and smiling at mama or anyone that will talk to him's voice. Hey truly is a sweetheart lovable and so cuddly. I'm still not sure what color his eyes will be they are mainly blue but a dark blue and the very center has some brownish green. Time will tell I suppose.
Aria got a pretty Tinkerbell book for Christmas and I read it to her and Jamie on my lap and Jamie fell asleep. He really enjoyed looking at the pictures.
Patrick loves to grab things. He grabs the spoon at meal time. He's always down to grab my hair or earrings or any loose clothing. His little grubby hands are just always reaching out trying to get a hold of something.
For their first Christmas they got clothes from uncle Steven and aunt Cara and grandma. Cute little jeans and hoodie sweatshirt collared shirts and bowties. Jamie loves arias little piano that she got from uncle Bee. He crawls over to it where ever it wherever it is, sits right in front of it and start hitting the keys. I had does get jealous and pushes him down sometimes. We are working on her sharing skills.
Yaya got both the boys but all many animal blankets. It's like a 1' x 1' square with an animal head in the middle. Patch loves to hold onto his and suck on it. Auntie Dobby got them squishable balls that have rattling beads in them.
New Year's Eve we went over to Gabby and Billy's apartment. Gabby made turkey and Amy brought lasagna and there was lots of cake and dessert. The boys took a nice long nap right when we got there around five or six. Then they were a little angels and stayed up all the way until 1 AM without so much as a cry. I was hilarious. She insisted on walking around with a football under her dress and asking everyone that would listen "where'd it go?". Then she would jump up and down three times and the football would slide out and she would laugh hysterically. Over and over and over again she did this trick.
Aunt Aggie gave Aria a basket of old toys. There were several little tea sets in the basket and Aria has been going around every day pretending to pour and drink miniature cups of tea. She insists that I drink the imaginary tea. Unfortunately two of the teapots have already met their demise. Luckily we still have two more. Next gift is going to be a PLASTIC tea set.
The boys are still horrible sleepers. They've taken to being up for 2 to 4 hours smack in the middle of the night. I'm going crazy. The other night I even tried to put Patrick out in the swing in the living room and get back in bed but he want squaked and whined until it became a cry and i had to go and get him.
Jamie is getting two teeth on the bottom. Not helping with the sleep issues.
Happy 2014!
Until next time, xo Rosie
